SIO · Open Call · No.001

SIO invites musicians, sound artists, and AI creators to choose one of two ancient Japanese dreams — and turn it into an original vocal track.

SIO invites filmmakers and visual artists to bring any dream to life as a short video — your dream, your way.

One dream belongs to the sun. One to the moon. Which will you answer?

No theme, no limits — just the dream you've always wanted to show.

The Dream Captor

Who is SIO?

SIO
Dream Captor · Level III Civilization Observer

SIO is a Dream Captor from a Level III civilization — a being who moves through dreams, memories, and emotional fragments across timelines. She collects the dreams she encounters and creates music inspired by them.

She appears as a young woman with long black hair and luminous violet eyes — quiet, elegant, and magnetic. Curious about Earth, she likes to try living the way its people do.

A girl beneath a neon moon. A voice heard just before waking. A stranger who remembers your dream better than you do.

The Two Dream Files

Choose one dream

Every submission is tied to one of the two official dream files — interpret its story, mood, or imagery. Your entry is an AI-aided vocal track: vocals required (no instrumental-only); disclose your AI tools.

Dream File 001

The Sun Behind the Stone Door

Inspired by 天照大神 / Amaterasu

The world has lost its light. The sun goddess has hidden behind a sealed stone door, and everything outside has fallen into darkness. But the gods begin to dance, laugh, and sing — a strange festival in the dark, and their laughter reaches the hidden sun.

What kind of song can bring the light back?

Dream File 002

The Girl Who Returned to the Moon

Inspired by かぐや姫 / Princess Kaguya

A girl from the moon lives on Earth, loved by many but belonging fully to no world. Every beautiful thing feels temporary. One night, the moon calls her back, and the memory of Earth becomes a song she must leave behind.

What song would you sing before returning to the moon?

There's no set theme here — this is your dream to tell. A memory, a fantasy, a place that only exists when you close your eyes. Bring it to life as a short video — film, animation, motion graphics, or AI visuals — set to your own music. Run by SIO.

How to submit your video

Upload your finished video to YouTube (Unlisted) or Vimeo, then paste the link below. "Unlisted" keeps it out of search but lets us and the public watch it.
